Today I want to tell you a story from my childhood when I got the first sign about art and paintings, but I did ignore it.⠀

I was about 7-8 years old when I was brought with a class to our naturalistic musea in my native city in Ukraine. There were a lot of installations and paintings, sculptures, and other artworks. Many installations were about the Second World War, but nothing touched my soul.⠀

Almost at the end of the visit, I saw something unbelievable, which till now was the brightest memory in my head, as I saw it just a moment ago.⠀

It was an oil painting called panorama, with a size 9x3m, covered by a glass screen. You could observe it from a distance of 3m. ⠀

In the foreground little bit of sand, cane, Calamus, then transparent water so that you could see aground. Focal point - 2 herons watched each other: background - water, another side of the river, and a few trees.⠀

It was a sunny day, and I felt it was so warm, so I could take off my clothes, join herons, and enjoy the water.⠀

This painting so impressed me; it was so real. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the painting and the author. Ten years later, I went to musea again and asked about this panorama, but an archive was destroyed by fire a few years before.⠀

Art wasn't interesting to me at one point, and I couldn't understand it. So, I didn't recognize a sign.⠀
